The first day is all about settling in. At the ASAN Dog Hotel we treat every dog individually, calmly and kindly, so they get used to the new environment as naturally as possible. It is precisely this individual attention and respect for each dog's needs that helps them feel safe and comfortable during their stay.

A day at our dog hotel follows a regular routine so the dogs feel calm and safe. They first go outside at around 6:30 in the morning, for 30 minutes to an hour depending on the weather. Breakfast follows, then roughly two hours of rest. The dogs then go out again, usually for 1 to 2 hours, with more time outside in the afternoon. Dinner is served between 17:00 and 18:00, and there is one more outing before bedtime at around 22:00. Altogether the dogs spend about 5 hours a day outside, always adjusted to the weather and each dog's needs and comfort.

Yes, a stay can work well even for a dog that has never boarded away from home before. What matters is a sensitive approach and enough time to settle in. If it is your dog's first stay, please let us know in advance so we can adapt the care to their personality and habits.

Before arrival your dog must be healthy and dewormed. Please bring a veterinary passport with valid vaccinations against viral diseases and rabies; we also require a kennel cough vaccination. These conditions are important for the safety and health of all the dogs staying with us.

No — for safety reasons we do not accept dogs that are aggressive towards people or other dogs. We also do not accept dogs kept exclusively outdoors, in a kennel or in a yard, or females in heat. If a female comes into heat during her stay, we need a contact for someone who can come and collect her.
